Dr. Kushlev awarded APS Rising Star

The APS Rising Star designation is presented to outstanding APS members in the earliest stages of their research career post-PhD. Drawing its name from an Observer editorial series that featured exemplars of the exciting work being done by the field’s newest researchers, this designation recognizes researchers whose innovative work has already advanced the field and signals great potential for their continued contributions.





Happy Tech Lab students present research at 2021 SPSP Annual Convention

Two undergraduates and one graduate student from the Happy Tech Lab will present their research at the 2021 Society for Personality and Social Psychology Annual Convention this February.

Ori Cantwell, an undergraduate at Wesleyan University, will present his poster titled Yes We (Anxiously) Can: Liberal Ideology and Anxiety Predict Social Distancing During the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Maureen Tibbetts, an undergraduate at Georgetown University, will present her poster titled Digital Behaviors and Well-Being During Social Distancing: Evidence from an Exploratory Study During COVID-19.

Matthew Leitao, a Ph.D student studying under Dr. Kushlev in the Human Development and Public Policy Ph.D. program at Georgetown University, will present his poster titled Screen Time in Bed Predicts Better Sleep Outcomes in College Students
